The Annual Meeting for the Reelection of the 9th SAC/TC50 & Standard Review Meeting, Organized by WINDEY, Convenes in Hangzhou
On October 23, the Annual Meeting for the Reelection of the 9th National Technical Committee 50 on Wind Energy (hereinafter referred to as SAC/TC50) & Standard Review Meeting, organized by WINDEY, took place grandly in Hangzhou. The annual meeting was attended and addressed by Cao Yiding, director of the Equipment and Materials Division of the Standards & Technology Management Department of the National Standardization Administration, Tan Xiangning, deputy chief engineer of China Machinery Industry Federation and chairman of the Standardization Technology Association, Qi Hesheng, executive vice president and secretary-general of the Wind Energy Equipment Branch of the China Association of Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers (CAAMM), Wang Zhenhua, chairman of SAC/TC50, Chen Qi, secretary of the Party Committee and chairman of WINDEY, and other leaders.
This meeting, themed on "Promoting the Sharing and Co-construction, Improving the Quality of Standards", consists of multiple parts, such as committee member adjustment, strategic signing, keynote reports, bigwig dialogues, standard review, and commending the advanced. It is full of highlights and excitement. More than 120 expert committee members and industry peers from China wind power industry attended the meeting. Relying on its years of remarkable achievements and down-to-earth work style in the field of wind power standards, WINDEY was conferred the "Award for Excellent Entities in National Wind Power Standards", demonstrating the company's professional level and leading position in standard formulation.
Cao Yiding gave high recognition to the achievements made by the 8th SAC/TC50 in the standardization of the wind power industry, and put forward specific requirements for the new session of committee members: First, keep optimizing the construction of the standard system, strengthen the research and development of key technical standards for offshore wind power, and provide technical support for the healthy development of the industry; second, strengthen the construction of organizational institutions, embark on establishing sub-technical committees centering on offshore wind power, and provide technical organizational guarantees for the rapid development of offshore wind power; third, actively participate in international standardization work, strengthen the construction of standardized talent team, and effectively enhance the voice of SAC/TC50 on the international standardization stage.
Qi Hesheng emphasized that SAC/TC50 should lead high-quality development with high standard, continuously improve the wind power industry standard system, strengthen the research on key technical standards, promote the deep integration of technological innovation and standard formulation, and provide strong support for the transformation and upgrading of the wind power industry. Amid the globalization of the wind power industry, SAC/TC50 should also strengthen international exchanges and cooperation, actively participate in the formulation of international wind power standards, and simultaneously keep abreast of the development trend of the industry. Also, it should further study new technologies and new applications such as wind power hydrogen production and energy storage, and promote the sustainable and healthy development of China's wind power industry.
Wang Zhenhua noted that with rapid development and upgrading of China's wind power industry chain, the importance of standardization work is becoming increasingly prominent. Next, SAC/TC50 will closely follow the overall planning proposed in the "National Standardization Development Outline", do a good job in formulating the wind power standardization development plan for the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, continue to deepen the exchanges and cooperation on standardization, strengthen the peer liaison with IEC/TC88, and help Chinese wind power enterprises "go global". In the meantime, SAC/TC50 will also create a talent cultivation highland for the standardized work team, organize and carry out diverse training and academic exchange activities, and effectively improve the professionalism and business capabilities of the committee members.
On behalf of WINDEY, Chen Qi extended a warm welcome to the leaders, committee members, and industry counterparts present at the meeting. He said that China's wind power technology is advancing towards the "Uncharted Zone", and a balanced relationship for favorable interaction and coordinated progress has been formed between wind power standards and industrial development. WINDEY has always attached great importance to standard formulation work. It has predominated or participated in formulating 156 technical standards of various types, including 47 national standards (GB) and 93 industry standards (NB). In addition, WINDEY takes the initiative to participate in the formulation of international standards and frequently "speaks for China" in the international wind power field. As Chinese wind power equipment enterprises quicken their paces in going global, it is an irresistible trend to drive wind power products, technologies, and equipment to go global by letting standards go global. In the future, WINDEY will keep promoting the improvement of the international market competitiveness of Chinese standards, actively predominate or participate in the formulation and revision of IEC international standards, improve the competitiveness of China's wind power equipment with "Chinese solutions", and strive to make the wind power industry become an eye-catching business card of "Created in China".
At the meeting, the new SAC/TC50 reviewed and approved 10-odd national standards, including "Wind Power Generation System - Wind Turbine Hydraulic System" formulated mainly by WINDEY. Ren Jun, secretary-general of SAC/TC50, and technical experts of WINDEY and other industry experts delivered wonderful speeches on topics such as "Standard Leading the High-Quality Development of the Wind Power Industry".
